Turn on the oven at BROIL mode. Line a tray with nonstick aluminum foil and place the sliced onions. Add 1 tsp oil and mix well with your hands. Spread onions evenly on the tray and BROIL for 6-8 minutes.
Add this directly to the cooking pan and continue with rest of the ingredients. I never added any extra oil and is very pleased with the end results.
